Google Suspend Business With Huawei Following Trump Order

DNALive24 : Technology, Adam Smith
A number of US companies, including, but not limited to, Google, Intel, Qualcomm and Broadcom, have suspended business with the Chinese telecom giant following the recent restrictions issued by the Donald Trump government.

The US search giant, however, claimed that existing Huawei devices will still be able to access Google services. "Google Play and the security protections from Google Play Protect will continue to function on existing Huawei devices", said the company.

As part of the changes, future Huawei smartphones will lose access to popular Google services, such as Gmail, YouTube, Play Store etc. Confirming the news, Google said: "We are complying with the order and reviewing the implications. Huawei will only be able to use the public version of Android and will not be able to get access to proprietary apps and services from Google".
