Indian ace batsman Virat Kohli has reached the 3-figure mark against West Indies in the three match series in Port of Spain on Sunday.

Dominating the West Indies bowling attack at the Queen's Park Oval, Kohli made his 42nd ODI hundred in the 2nd of the ongoing three match series. Ending the 5 month long drought for an ODI century, Virat Kohli also hit the 8th ODI hundred against West Indies, on Sunday.

Breaking Javed Miandad's 26-year-old record, Virat Kohli has scored more than 2000 runs against the Caribbeans. Kohli has also beaten Rohit Sharma's record for the fastest to 2000 ODI runs against an opposition. Kohli got past 2000-run mark against West Indies in his 33rd ODI innings. Rohit held the record by getting to 2000 in his 37th ODI innings vs Australia.

This was Virat Kohli's 1st hundred since March 2019 and his 4th of the year. Though, Indian captain scored 445 runs at an average of over 50 in India's 2019 World Cup campaign but he had not scored a hundred.
